In the autumn plateau, Xunhua Salar Autonomous County in Haidong City, Qinghai Province, located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, has seen a bumper harvest of ten thousand acres of chili peppers planted on both sides of the river. Fresh red chili peppers are drying in front and behind farmers' houses, with clusters and patches of fiery red chili peppers, making them as bright as fire. Xunhua County is the only autonomous county of the Salar ethnic group in China and the birthplace of the Salar ethnic group in China. The Yellow River flows through the county for more than 90 kilometers. The Xunhua specialty line chili peppers are harvested from early September and can be harvested continuously until the end of October. (New Society)
