At 9:31 on May 30th, the Long March 2F Yao16 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft ignited and launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. About 10 minutes later, the Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered the predetermined orbit. The astronauts were in good condition and the launch was a complete success. According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, after the spacecraft enters orbit, it will conduct autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking with the space station assembly according to the predetermined procedure. The Shenzhou 16 astronaut crew will rotate in orbit with the Shenzhou 15 astronaut crew. During the work and life of the space station, the crew of Shenzhou 16 astronauts will carry out outbound activities, conduct space science experiments, and complete various tasks such as installation, debugging, maintenance, and repair of equipment inside and outside the spacecraft. This mission is the first manned flight mission for China's manned space engineering to enter the stage of space station application and development. It is the 29th launch mission since the implementation of the project and the 475th flight of the Long March series of carrier rockets. At present, the space station assembly has entered the rendezvous and docking orbit and is in good working condition, meeting the conditions for rendezvous and docking with the Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft and the entry of astronauts.
