The reporter learned from the Zhuhai Municipal Consumer Committee that on March 13, on the occasion of the 41st "March 15 International Consumer Rights Day", the consumer committees (consumer associations) of Macao, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Hengqin held a joint meeting on consumer rights protection cooperation and group standards distribution in Jiangmen, We jointly released two "standards for cross-regional consumer rights protection cooperation groups", namely, the Working Specifications for Handling Consumer Complaints and the Working Specifications for Cross-regional Video Mediation of Consumer Complaints. It is reported that this standard has made uniform provisions on the terms and definitions, basic requirements, handling principles, complaint channels, handling processes and other aspects of consumer complaint handling in the five regions, unified the consumer complaint handling process in the five regions, clarified the post responsibilities of personnel, and provided technical support for the connection and circulation of consumer complaint work in the five regions. The standard relies on the "cross-domain video mediation mechanism" jointly built by the five regions to uniformly regulate the mediation conditions, mediation methods, mediation processes and information archiving of the online mediation of consumer disputes in different regions, so that consumers can mediate through the "cross-domain video mediation platform" by any local consumer committee organization in the nearest five regions in case of consumer disputes in different regions (especially in Macao), Realize the standardization and standardization of online video consumption disputes handling. It is understood that the consumer rights cooperation between Zhuhai and Macao began in 2000, the Zhuhai-China Hengqin consumer rights cooperation alliance was founded in 2011, and the five consumer organizations established a cross-domain video mediation mechanism in 2019. The relevant person in charge of the Zhuhai Municipal Consumer Protection Committee said that the release of the standard injected "standardized" and "procedural" elements into the five regions' consumer rights protection cooperation, marking that the five regions' consumer rights protection cooperation entered a new stage, providing standard support for cross-border and cross-regional rights protection cooperation. In the future, consumer organizations in the five regions will continue to promote the in-depth integration of the field of consumer rights protection, focus on the "urgent needs and anxieties" of consumers to carry out cooperation, further unblock the channels of consumer complaints, improve the resolution of consumer appeals, and serve the high-quality development of the economy and society, and contribute to the acceleration of the integration of consumer rights protection in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and the construction of a secure consumption environment in the Greater Bay Area.
