Recently, the main venue of Beijing's commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage was held in the Summer Palace. The results of the "2022 Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Award" were announced on the spot. Thirteen projects from six countries won awards, including China's Fujian Nantian Temple Protection Project, Shanghai's Guizhou Xili Lane Project, Macao's M30 power supply and waste collection integration infrastructure project Nanjing Xiaoxihu Block Project and other four projects. The activity was held online and offline, aiming to comprehensively demonstrate the process of Beijing's world heritage protection, discuss the protection of world heritage where challenges and development coexist, and contribute strength and wisdom to the protection and utilization of world heritage. It is reported that Beijing now has 7 world cultural heritage sites, making it the city with the largest number of world heritage sites in China. Since 1987, Beijing has been constantly improving the interpretation level of heritage management based on the concept and standard of world cultural heritage protection, gradually forming a protection system of cultural heritage with Beijing characteristics that includes multiple subjects, multiple funds and multiple values, and gradually creating a cultural brand of "world heritage in Beijing".
