Worried about Hurricane Attack NASA Delays Launch of Giant Lunar Exploration Rocket for the Third Time

2022-09-26

According to CNN, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) decided to abandon the launch of the giant lunar exploration rocket "Space Launch System" on September 27 because of fears that tropical storm "Ian" would hit Florida, causing heavy rainfall and lightning strikes. Tropical storm "Ian" will arrive near the southwest coast of Florida in the form of a hurricane on the 27th, bringing rain to most parts of the Florida peninsula. It is reported that this is the third time that the launch of the rocket has been delayed. NASA set the launch date as early as August 29, but temporarily suspended the launch due to failure on that day. On September 3, the launch was postponed again due to fuel leakage. (Liu Xinshe)
