From a junior college student, to the first prize winner of the national vocational college skills competition, to a undergraduate and finally a teacher of a vocational college, the 36 year old Xu Chao explained "skills make a wonderful life" with his own growth experience. After graduating from high school in 2005, Xu Chao came to Tianjin Electromechanical vocational and technical college to study numerical control. During the school period, Xu Chao studied hard and practiced professional skills. Wang Xingdong, who is currently the vice president of Tianjin Institute of mechanical and electrical technology, once served as Xu Chao's training teacher. Under the guidance of Wang Xingdong's words and deeds, Xu Chao's skill level has been rapidly improved and his understanding of craftsman spirit has become more and more profound. In 2008, Xu Chao participated in the national vocational college skills competition on behalf of the University and won the first prize. Subsequently, he was recommended to continue his studies in the University. Inspired by his mentor Wang Xingdong, Xu Chao, who graduated from University, chose to return to his alma mater to teach. In order to cultivate students' professional interests and technical abilities, Xu Chao participated in the establishment of Suoyuan numerical control society of the University. In the community training, Xu Chao taught the students the connotation of craftsman spirit in every detail from the placement of measuring tools to the standardized measurement actions. Under his guidance, many students won awards in national, provincial and municipal skill competitions. Liu Shixiong, who has taught in the school, is an excellent representative. In Liu Shixiong's eyes, Xu Chao is not only a teacher, but also a brother and an example. It was under his influence that Liu Shixiong began to practice his practical skills in the community from his freshman year. Later, he won a good performance in the national competition. Following the footsteps of teacher Xu, he finally returned to the three foot platform of his alma mater. "I want to impart knowledge and skills to more students." Liu Shixiong said.
