Iran's "haiyam" remote sensing satellite took off on a Russian rocket

According to Iranian media reports, Iran's "hayam" remote sensing satellite took off from the Baikonur space launch site in Kazakhstan on the 9th with a Russian "soyuz-2.1b" carrier rocket and successfully entered the target orbit. It is reported that the Iranian space agency has received the first batch of telemetry data sent back by the "haiyam" remote sensing satellite. The telemetry data of the satellite will be mainly used for agricultural production, water resources investigation, natural disaster response and mineral exploration. Iran's minister of communications and information technology Issa zarepur said that the launch of the hayam satellite means that Iran and Russia have carried out strategic cooperation in the space industry. On the same day, the Russian national space group said that in addition to Iran's "haiyam" satellite, the "alliance-2.1b" carrier rocket also sent 16 small spacecraft into space during the launch mission on the same day.
