2022-05-20

On May 19, 2022, the IOC held an executive committee meeting in Lausanne and announced that the Chinese track and field men's 4x100m relay team won the bronze medal of the Tokyo Olympic Games. The Chinese team composed of Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang and Tang Xingqiang won the late medal in six ways. According to the steps of redistributing the Olympic medals of the IOC, after the official announcement of the IOC, the athletes who win the medals will receive the notice of their national (regional) Olympic committees and then choose the way of receiving them. These six ceremonies are: in the next Olympic Games, in the Youth Olympic Games, in the IOC headquarters or Olympic Museum, in the relevant activities of the national (regional) Olympic Committee, in the relevant activities of the international single sports organization and private ceremonies. Once the athletes have determined an award ceremony, the IOC will hold a medal reissue ceremony with the relevant national (regional) Olympic committees within one year (unless they choose to receive medals at the next Olympic Games).
