The 3rd Sino French Carbon Neutrality Forum will be held in Suzhou on December 12th

The Third Sino French Carbon Neutrality Forum, jointly organized by the Suzhou High tech Zone Management Committee, the Low Carbon Economy Committee of the Shanghai Modern Service Industry Federation, the China Climate Change Working Group of French Foreign Trade Advisors, and the Hongqiao French/French speaking Enterprise Center, will be held on December 12, 2023 at the Shishan International Conference Center in Suzhou High tech Zone. The theme of this forum is "Transforming Development Models and Sharing a Low Carbon Future". Officials, experts and scholars from relevant departments of the Chinese and French governments, as well as managers of multinational corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises, will be invited to jointly explore the following two categories of issues through keynote speeches, corporate keynote speeches, roundtable dialogues, and other forms: What are the development models that sustainable human development should have in society? How can China and France innovate, coordinate, cooperate, and share achievements in promoting green and low-carbon energy transformation, promoting green and low-carbon development of transportation, accelerating low-carbon transformation of urban and rural construction, strengthening circular economy and resource conservation? Four renowned Chinese and French scholars and experts, including Beno? T LEBOT, Senior Policy Advisor to the French Ministry of Energy Transition, Philippe BIHOUIX, a renowned mineral resources expert and author of "The Low Technology Era", Professor Zhu Dajian from the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University, and Lai Xiaoming, Chairman of the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange, will share their insightful views on the first major issue at the forum. For the second category of issues, well-known Chinese and French companies such as Suzhou High tech Green and Low Carbon Technology Co., Ltd., GTT China, Ates Sunshine Power, Akila, Freia Group, Michelin (China), Oriental Bank of China, Saint Gobain Group, State Grid (Suzhou) Urban Energy Research Institute, Shanghai Yichan Technology, Danone Group, L'Oreal China, Green Carbon Institute, and Coplixin Group will share their unique technologies and experiences at the forum. Senior executives from Shenergy Group, Boer Energy, OKK (Shanghai), Air France, Shanghai Climate Week, De La Roche Group, Veolia China, and Tsinghua Suzhou Environmental Innovation Research Institute will also participate in the roundtable discussion. The day of this forum coincides with the 8th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, the closing day of the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the eve of the grand commemoration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. The holding of this forum is not only a powerful practice for Suzhou High tech Zone to actively implement the national "dual carbon" strategy and promote deepening climate cooperation between China and France, but also an important manifestation of the great responsibility and responsibility of China and France in addressing global climate change issues, which is unprecedented in a century.
