The demonstration project has achieved great success. The restored Neisha Lake has a clear water body, and its water quality and landscape effect have been significantly improved. The underwater forest is densely covered, and it can be seen that snails and swimming fish inhabit it. The water quality of the lake as a whole has reached the Class II standard for surface water. The residents who moved away from the lake due to its dirty and smelly water have moved back, and a harmonious and symbiotic benign ecosystem has initially formed, It was fully affirmed by the experts of the Ministry of Water Resources who participated in the acceptance evaluation of the "Hubei strictest water resources management system pilot" and praised "the water can really be called clear and bottomless". The technical scheme of the Neisha Lake demonstration project has gradually been recognized by the industry, and is known as the "Neisha Lake Model" for ecological restoration of degraded lakes, which has been promoted and applied inside and outside the province. During the epidemic in 2020, it will provide a good living environment for the national epidemic prevention team in the East Lake Hotel. At the beginning of 2018, Dr. Kang Yuhui was invited to undertake the emergency guarantee of water quality of Baihua Lake in Wuhan East Lake Hotel, which was provided by Hubei Provincial Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Sciences. Dr. Kang Yuhui led the team to use the "Inner Sand Lake Model" in line with local conditions, which improved the water quality of Baihua Lake from inferior to Class V to Class III surface water within two weeks, providing water quality and environmental protection for the East Lake meeting between the leaders of China and India, and was highly praised by provincial and municipal leaders.
