In recent years, China's electric bicycle industry has developed rapidly, bringing more travel convenience to residents, but also adding charging safety hazards. Despite various governance measures taken in different regions, phenomena such as electric bicycles charging upstairs and "flying line charging" still exist. How to solve this difficult problem? The battery sharing and replacement charging mode has the advantages of safety, economy, green and convenience, which solves the problems of frequent charging accidents and slow charging of electric bicycles and has become a new choice for many places to solve the safety hazards of electric bicycles. This model is the first breakthrough in the field of takeaway riders. The "battery swapping mode" fits the high power consumption characteristics of the rider group, avoiding the waste of time and energy waiting for charging, and greatly solving the "range anxiety". But there are only over 10 million electric bicycles in the field of food delivery riders, while there are 400 million electric bicycles in the country. It is difficult to fundamentally solve the national problem without addressing the residential market on the C-end. It is reported that the residential market on the C-end has become the most difficult nut to crack, due to various reasons, among which low project profits and difficult pricing are the most important considerations. The frequency of residents changing their electricity is relatively low, with an average of 2 to 3 times per week. If the pricing is too low, investors will not be profitable, and if the pricing is too high, residents will find it difficult to accept. In addition, the residential side requires a higher density of factory layout. In January of this year, the national electric bicycle safety hazard rectification work team issued a notice on promoting typical practices related to electric bicycle sharing and battery swapping. The shared battery swapping model for electric bicycles in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province has successfully opened up a breakthrough for residents, becoming the first case of this "Notice" and providing more possibilities for the promotion of the "replacement charging" model. Lv Yongyan, Chairman of Beijing Electric Investment Green Communication Technology Co., Ltd., told reporters that Kunshan City has a large number of electric bicycles, about 2.35 million, with nearly 150000 new bicycles added every year. The company first chose Kunshan as a pilot, and if Kunshan can succeed, it will have greater significance for promotion across the country. From the results, as of now, Kunshan has built 443 intelligent electric bicycle battery swapping cabinets, forming a convenient battery swapping network with a "500 meter service radius", which can provide round the clock battery swapping services for 50000 electric bicycles, and has preliminarily completed the construction of the first nationwide intelligent battery swapping network for electric bicycles. According to the "Smart Battery Swap" project plan in Kunshan, 5000 battery swapping cabinets will be completed in the next three years, serving 600000 users, and the country will be the first to achieve large-scale battery swapping network construction, forming an experience model that can be referenced, replicated, and promoted. Economy is the most important consideration for whether the user side can accept the battery swapping mode. At present, through cooperation with Kunshan Transportation Development Group and other units, Electric Investment Green Pass Company has set the rent at 576 yuan per year, equivalent to 48 yuan per month. According to calculations, a rental service package priced at 576 yuan per year can cover approximately 500 kilometers, which basically covers the usage habits and scenarios of the vast majority of residents. Whether the battery swapping mode is efficient and convenient is also an important factor affecting users' choices. In the early stages of the development of China's electric vehicle industry, State Grid Corporation of China took the lead in building large-scale charging pile infrastructure nationwide, which played an important role in promoting the rapid development of the electric vehicle industry. For the development of the electric bicycle battery swapping industry, the large-scale construction of battery swapping stations by powerful central and state-owned enterprises on the residential side as infrastructure, and the simultaneous research and development and promotion of battery swapping models by electric bicycle manufacturers, or effective measures to solve convenience issues. Lv Yongyan believes that in the residential market for electric bicycle battery swapping, through government led and enterprise cooperation, large-scale installation of battery swapping stations has provided convenient battery swapping service infrastructure for citizens, thereby attracting more users to choose battery swapping modes.
