This strategy includes 30 key actions and a detailed action plan, which includes establishing minimum "emergency preparedness" standards for critical services such as hospitals, schools, transportation, and telecommunications; Enhance the reserve of key equipment and materials; Encourage the public to take practical measures, such as maintaining at least 72 hours of basic material reserves in emergency situations; Incorporate the "Emergency Preparedness" course into school curriculum and establish EU "Emergency Preparedness Day" and other initiatives. Von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, said in the announcement: "The new reality requires Europe to reach a new level of emergency preparedness.
