He stated in his speech that economic and trade cooperation is an important component of China Canada bilateral relations and an important engine for promoting the healthy and stable development of China Canada relations. Even when Canada's relations have encountered setbacks in the past few years, economic and trade cooperation has always played an important stabilizing role. The reason behind this is that the nature of China Canada economic and trade cooperation is mutually beneficial and win-win, based on the results of both sides' own national construction and people's livelihood needs. Wang Di stated that China's economic operation is stable and making progress, and the door to openness will only become wider and wider. The Chinese government supports the strengthening of pragmatic economic and trade cooperation between Chinese enterprises and Canada, and hopes that Canada can also provide a transparent, open, and non discriminatory business environment for normal cooperation between the two sides' enterprises. Xiang Feng stated that trade is the foundation of Canada's founding, and it has faced various difficulties and pressures in history, but each time it has ultimately returned to the path of developing mutually beneficial and win-win trade. China has a huge consumer market, and the business community looks forward to expanding friendly cooperation with China. Wu Zhengping, Deputy Director of the China International Import Expo Bureau, introduced the basic situation of the CIIE in a video speech, reviewed the participation process of Canadian enterprises, and elaborated on the highlights and characteristics of the 8th CIIE and Hongqiao International Economic Forum. Bank of China Canada Branch will continue to provide services for Canadian companies entering the Chinese market in areas such as trading, online banking, trade financing, and foreign exchange. Fabiano, Executive Director of the South Niagara Chamber of Commerce, said that her visit to China last year impressed her with the country's development speed, fresh air, and level of safety. Chris White, the chairman of the Canadian Meat Council who has participated in three conferences, told reporters that the CIIE is a great opportunity for Canada and other countries to "learn about China" and expand their business. The vast Chinese market is extremely important and must be participated in by Canadian companies.
