The 2025 National "Four Seasons Village Evening" Spring Home Event was recently held in Wulin Traditional Village, Jinjiang City, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. Villagers and tourists celebrate the Chinese New Year together, enjoying the "village evening" and savoring the festive atmosphere. This "Village Evening" is set against the backdrop of traditional villages in Wulin, with the historical and cultural district of southern Fujian as the stage. It features three chapters: "Tide Rises Southeast," "Fushan Fuhai," and "Radiant China." It brings together local characteristic programs written, directed, and performed by villagers, as well as outstanding works of mass literature and art emerging from the Fujian People's Grand Stage. It highlights mass performance, mass viewing, and mass music, showcasing the new style of beautiful rural areas and new achievements in the development of mass literature and art through dance, opera, fast-paced music, instrumental music, martial arts, and other programs. Folk performances, overseas Chinese cuisine exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage markets, overseas Chinese cultural exhibitions and other supporting activities such as "Village Evening+" will be held simultaneously, using traditional festivals and holidays as carriers to spread "Fu" culture and overseas Chinese culture, promote the integration and innovative development of culture and tourism, and stimulate the cultural vitality of rural revitalization in the new era. In order to promote the normalization of the "Village Evening" activities self written, self-directed, self performed, and self appreciated by rural residents, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will guide various regions to hold "Four Seasons Village Evening" activities starting from 2023. These activities will be held in spring, summer, autumn, and winter respectively, and support the "Village Evening" to enter districts and scenic areas. This will promote the transformation of the "Village Evening" from a focus on cultural and tourism performances to a comprehensive festival activity that combines cultural and tourism festival exhibitions, mass cultural exhibitions, characteristic cultural inheritance, and promotion of beautiful scenery. The "Village Evening" will gradually become a large stage for showcasing the talents of the masses, a large platform for integrating culture and tourism, and a large showcase for rural characteristic culture.
