Recently, the "Humanistic Bay Area · Brilliant Intangible Cultural Heritage" Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition opened at the Guanshan Yue Art Museum in Shenzhen. The event is hosted by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Macao Special Administrative Region Government Bureau of Culture. It is also organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and the Macao Museum. This exhibition takes the Spring Festival as an opportunity and uses intangible cultural heritage as a carrier to deeply explore the cultural connotations of the Greater Bay Area. The first stop of the exhibition was launched in Hong Kong in October 2024, and Shenzhen took over as the second stop. A total of 337 intangible cultural heritage exhibits from "9+2" cities in the Greater Bay Area were exhibited, divided into six major sections. In the "Bay Area Spring Appreciation · Watching One Drama Together" section, the digital kaleidoscope is like a time treasure box, telling the story of 11 cities in the Bay Area with the same cultural roots and origins, and the deep friendship unfolds like a poem or painting; In the section of "Celebrating the New Year and Spring, Drinking a Tea Together", the bustling flower streets and happy family reunion dinners are filled with a strong sense of the New Year and the warmth of home; In the section of "Celebrating the New Year and Offering Spring, Appreciating the Brilliance of One Instrument Together", "9+2" cities join hands to attend the feast of intangible cultural heritage, with traditional objects being calm and solemn, and young people innovating and fashionable vitality; In the section of "Spring Festival on a Good Night, Enjoy a Lantern", the Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival) Lantern Festival lights are like flowers in full bloom, and strolling through them gradually enters the artistic conception of harmony in the Bay Area, conveying the people's yearning for a better life in the Bay Area; In the section of "Spirit Snake Leaping Spring · Same Quality Qianqiu Art", craftsmen use their wisdom and sweat to give new life to traditional crafts, integrating the elements of the Year of the Snake into their works, and the image of the spirit snake leaps out; In the section of "Cultural and Creative Spring · Sharing Hundred New Arts", cultural and creative products bring ancient civilization into people's daily lives and open up new paths for the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage. In addition, the exhibition also showcases the joyful scenes of the Spring Festival in the Greater Bay Area through rich interactive activities. On stage, Cantonese opera performers use melodious singing to send New Year's greetings to the audience; Amidst the dazzling lights, activities such as guessing lantern riddles and hanging Chinese knots attract many families to participate. The laughter of children and the joyful scenes of adults interweave with a strong New Year's atmosphere, vividly presenting the beautiful picture of cultural integration in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. With the opening of this exhibition, the "1+1+N" series of activities in Shenzhen will be launched simultaneously, including a city wide linkage activity of "one exhibition, one market, and a series of 'intangible cultural heritage+hundred industries'", which will last until late February.
