Wang Huning said that in November 2024, Chairman Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru met in Lima and agreed to comprehensively promote China-Japan strategic reciprocal relations in accordance with the principles and directions established in the four political documents between China and Japan. The ruling parties of the two countries should conduct in-depth exchanges around promoting the implementation of the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, jointly strive to develop China-Japan relations, and promote the prosperity and development of the region and the world. The Japanese side said that Japan and China are important neighbors to each other.
