On December 28th, at the foot of the Great Wall in Hushan, Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, there were crowds of people and lively activities, and off-road vehicles dressed up were ready to go. This is the coastal road cultural and tourism integration journey launched by the China G228 Coastal Road Tourism Alliance. The winding and majestic Hushan Great Wall is the eastern starting point of the Ming Great Wall and also the starting point of G228 National Highway. This is the longest coastal highway in China, starting from Dandong, Liaoning in the north and ending in Dongxing, Guangxi in the south. It spans nearly 20 latitudes and connects 10 provinces, with a total length of nearly 7378 kilometers. Join hands to explore G228 through rivers and seas. According to statistics, in 2023, the six coastal cities of Liaoning will receive 56.5% of tourists and 54.7% of the total tourism spending, respectively, and it is expected that the year-on-year growth rate in 2024 will exceed 30%.
