On December 24th, the fourth generation law enforcement vessel of China Laos Myanmar Thailand joint patrol and law enforcement sailed on the Mekong River. On the 25th, it was learned from the Water Patrol Brigade of Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department that the 148th joint patrol and law enforcement operation of China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand on the Mekong River was launched on December 24th, and the "Watch-2024" China Laos Myanmar Thailand joint crackdown on illegal activities in the Mekong River Basin will be carried out in the "Golden Triangle" waters of the Mekong River. In this operation, the law enforcement departments of China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand will dispatch 9 law enforcement boats and more than 200 law enforcement personnel. Among them, due to the need to carry out joint exercise tasks, Chinese boats 53105 and 53107, as well as law enforcement boats and members from Laos and Myanmar, have arrived in the mission waters ahead of schedule. This operation has set up a joint patrol and law enforcement formation command post on Chinese boat 53108, with the joint command of the commanders from China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand. During the operation, the joint patrol and law enforcement team will carry out water land joint public inspections, joint visits and other activities in key waters of the Mekong River, working together to crack down on various prominent illegal and criminal activities in the Mekong River Basin such as telecommunications fraud and drug crimes. The relevant law enforcement departments of China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand will also carry out cultural and sports exchange activities for the joint patrol and law enforcement of the Mekong River in Wanbang and Yangon respectively, as well as the 2024 China Laos Myanmar Thailand Mekong River joint patrol and law enforcement summary meeting. The Chinese 53108 boat participating in this operation is the fourth generation law enforcement boat of the China Laos Myanmar Thailand Mekong River Joint Patrol and Law Enforcement.
