Two departments: promote information sharing of medical assistance recipients between departments
2024-11-21
Accurately implementing medical assistance policies and effectively reducing the burden of medical expenses on families of disadvantaged groups and patients with major illnesses, the Office of the National Medical Insurance Bureau and the Office of the Ministry of Civil Affairs recently issued the "Notice on Further Improving the Information Sharing of Medical Assistance Objects" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"). The Notice clarifies that in response to issues such as delayed information sharing between departments leading to delayed benefits for disadvantaged groups, inaccurate basic information causing difficulties in confirming benefits for disadvantaged groups, incomplete methods and rules for data sharing, and the need for unified time limits for the effectiveness of medical assistance benefits in various regions, specific requirements have been put forward to strengthen work management, standardize benefit time limits, improve sharing mechanisms, clarify departmental responsibilities, enhance information quality, and promote work continuity. Specifically, strengthen the management of medical assistance information sharing, clarify the specific content of information sharing between departments, and require all regions to establish and improve inter departmental information sharing mechanisms at all levels. For regions that have not yet established an information sharing mechanism, a medical assistance target information sharing mechanism covering relevant departments should be established by the end of 2024.
