On the 8th, the Hong Kong Productivity Council held the "Hong Kong has industry and important partners launch conference", where about 40 enterprises shared cases and experiences of the "landing" of new industrialization. According to the organizers, Hong Kong's new industrialization is based on artificial intelligence, new materials, and intelligent production processes, introducing high-end manufacturing industries suitable for Hong Kong's development, and enhancing the competitiveness of Hong Kong's manufacturing industry through technological innovation. With the help of the Productivity Promotion Bureau, multiple local enterprises have received funding from the Special Administrative Region Government's "New Industrialization Assistance Program" or "Investment Research and Development Cash Rebate Program" to achieve transformation and efficiency improvement. The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Sun Dong, delivered a speech at the event, stating that in recent years, the Productivity Council has vigorously promoted new industrialization and provided various smart solutions to give Hong Kong's industry a new look and image. With the support of the Productivity Council and various funding programs, we look forward to empowering enterprises through technology to upgrade and transform, improve production efficiency, and make Hong Kong made brands more vibrant. The Chairman of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Chen Zuheng, stated that as a partner of the SAR government in promoting new industrialization in Hong Kong, the Council has implemented over 1200 smart projects in the Greater Bay Area, and over 25 industries have achieved intelligent upgrades. In 2023, the Productivity Promotion Bureau won 103 international and local awards and honors, with nearly 80% of award-winning projects successfully implemented and applied, solving industry pain points. The Productivity Promotion Bureau will continue to assist local enterprises in their transformation and upgrading, and better integrate into the overall development of the country. Ms. Deng, the representative of Hong Kong traditional traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations company with a history of 100 years, said in the sharing link that, for the problems faced by enterprises such as insufficient packaging staff and slow update of appearance design, intelligent systems can help enterprises significantly improve production efficiency.
