According to the official website of Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, from 0:00 to 24:00 on March 23, there were 8 newly confirmed cases in the province, 5 in Shenzhen, 1 in Dongguan, 1 in Zhongshan and 1 in Maoming. Eight local asymptomatic infections were added, four in Shenzhen, three in Dongguan and one in Maoming. There were 8 new confirmed cases imported from abroad in the province (of which 2 cases were transferred from asymptomatic infection), 4 cases reported in Shenzhen, 2 cases reported in Zhuhai, 1 case reported in Zhongshan and 1 case reported in Jiangmen, all from Hong Kong, China. 47 cases of asymptomatic infection were newly imported from abroad, 17 cases were reported in Guangzhou, 15 cases were from Solomon Islands, and the other 2 cases were from Japan and Nigeria respectively; Foshan reported 2 cases, all from Singapore; Shenzhen reported 16 cases, Zhuhai reported 5 cases, Zhongshan reported 6 cases and Jiangmen reported 1 case, all from Hong Kong, China. 36 cases were newly discharged, and 1103 cases are currently in hospital. Novel coronavirus pneumonia positive infection was reported in 12351 cases (7747 cases imported), as of March 23rd, 24 cases, including 6500 cases (3686 cases imported) and 5851 cases of asymptomatic infection (4061 cases were imported abroad).
