2022-01-18

On the 17th, the Macao SAR Government continued to follow up the epidemic situation in the surrounding areas and launched a number of measures to further strengthen epidemic prevention. On the same day, the government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), New Coronavirus infection coordination center, said that 3 close contacts with confirmed cases in Zhongshan and Zhuhai were conducting medical observation at the high peak public health clinic and testing nucleic acids every day. Two of them were negative for nucleic acid detection for 4 consecutive days and one was negative for nucleic acid detection for 2 consecutive days. According to the introduction of the response coordination center, 1343 close contacts, common track persons and key control persons have been followed up; A total of 18478 people who voluntarily declared that they had been to risk areas have changed their health code to yellow; A total of 32218 people were tested, and the results were negative. The emergency response coordination center also said that according to the latest traceability data released by the mainland, the nucleic acid test of international mail environmental samples contacted by some confirmed cases was positive, and it was found to be Omicron mutant, reminding the public to reduce and carefully deal with mail order goods, and issuing specific instructions. In response to changes in the epidemic situation, the education and Youth Development Bureau of the SAR government has informed schools that teachers and students during self-health management (yellow code) cannot go back to school. These teachers and students should accept the nucleic acid test of 5 tests in 12 days according to the requirements of the Health Bureau, and can go back to school after the health code turns green. In order to cooperate with the epidemic prevention measures at the Zhuhai Macao port, cross-border teachers and students in the mainland who do not live in key areas and have not been to the designated areas in the past 14 days must have a negative nucleic acid test result within 24 hours before they can return to Australia for classes. To this end, from the 18th, the Macao variety hall and Bei'an nucleic acid testing station will add cross-border student lanes, and a temporary nucleic acid testing station for cross-border students will be added at the Heisha ring Youth Activity Center. In addition, according to the epidemic prevention requirements of the Health Bureau of the SAR government, the "place QR code" has been posted at all external service places under the Urban Services Department. Since the 17th, citizens entering these places must scan the "place QR code" to record their itinerary, so that when an epidemic occurs, the SAR government can implement prevention and control work faster and accurately. On the same day, the Urban Services Department deployed additional staff in some public service places with a large flow of people to assist those in need. At the same time, we appeal to the public to actively cooperate and work together to do a good job in epidemic prevention. (Xinhua News Agency)
